RIASSUNTO
Nel 2005, in vigneti favorevoli allo sviluppo dell’oidio, sono stati confrontati formulati a
base di estratti di alghe, arricchiti con elementi diversi quali zinco, manganese e ossido di
potassio (siglati 5-1372, 5-1203 e 5-1207), con antioidici tradizionali (quinoxyfen,
tetraconazole e tryfloxystrobin). In entrambe le prove, con la quasi totalità dei grappoli dei
testimoni danneggiati, i prodotti di riferimento hanno assicurato una protezione totale; i siglati
hanno ridotto il danno in modo significativo con un’efficacia variabile attorno al 70%. La
notevole sensibilità della cv Moscato oggetto della prova, ha consentito di evidenziare,
esclusivamente per i siglati, evidenti sintomi di fitotossicità a carico dell’acino, ma non tali da
compromettere le caratteristiche merceologiche di un’uva da vino.

SUMMARY
GRAPE POWDERY MILDEW CONTROL WITH SEAWEED BASED COMPOUNDS
During the 2005, in a Moscato vineyard high conductive to powdery mildew, two field trials
were carried out to compare the effectiveness of three different experimental seaweed based
compounds in mixture with zinc, manganese or potassium oxide (respectively 5-1372, 5-
1203, and 5-1207) with traditional fungicides (quinoxyfen, tetraconazole and tryfloxystrobin).
In both trials, where bunches in the untreated plots were completely diseased, the traditional
fungicides tested provided a whole control of downy mildew and efficacy of seaweed
compounds was assessed around 70%. The high sensitivity of the cultivar Moscato led to
phytotoxicity symptoms on berries in the plots treated with the experimental products but
without compromise the wine grapes quality.
